User Signup Journey

This document outlines the journey a new user takes when signing up for the InvestSense Adviser Portal.

1. The Signup Form

When a new user navigates to the signup page, they are presented with a form to enter their details.

The signup page is located at /signup. Users can also sign up by clicking the 'Register' button via the /login page.

2. Confirm Email Address Page

After submitting the signup form, the user is taken to a page that informs them they need to check their email to confirm their account.

3. Confirm Email Address Email

By this point the user will have received the following email.

4. Waiting for Confirmation

After successfully confirming their email address, and when logged in, the user will be served a 'Waiting for Confirmation' page. An internal notification is sent to InvestSense staff to approve the new user.

5. Account Approved

After email verification, an internal notification is sent to InvestSense staff to approve the new user. Once approved, the user receives a final "Your Account Has Been Approved" email.

5. Logged-in Homepage

After clicking 'Get Started' in the approval email, the user is taken to the homepage of the Adviser Portal, where they are now logged in.
